It’s difficult to witness how Diablo 3’s popularity has come and gone in the past months but nevertheless, Blizzard is releasing duelling in the upcoming patch 1.0.7.
Blizzard announced a while back that the development team would be taking the deathmatch mode out of the game, but the duelling update seems that it may be something to look forward to for those who may just have lost interest in Diablo 3.
The Battle.net blog has more of the information on duelling. Players will need to jump into the inn in New Tristram and speak with Nek the Brawler. From there, Nek will take you and your party to a new zone called the Scorched Chapel. After this, you have a free-for-all duel between four players and will be able to finally get some PvP in.
In addition to inclusion of PvP, there are also a few changes being made to Wizards and Monks as well as new gems and crafting recipes. It’s great to see that Blizzard have finally put the PvP mode in, something that many gamers were probably on the lookout for since the game was released – but unfortunately it may just be too little too late…
