Diablo 3 Running on Console
Diablo 3 on console is the subject of ongoing debate and before the release of Diablo 3 this year on PC, there was a lot of speculation surrounding the idea.
Polygon is reporting that Blizzard isn’t yet ready to discuss Diablo 3 plans on console just yet. Rob Pardo, Blizzard executive, said that the team is still exploring it.
"We've got builds up and running on it. We're hoping to get it far enough along where we can make it an official project, but we're not quite ready to release stuff about it, but it's looking pretty cool," he said.
Diablo 3 still has a lot of ground to make though, because the game will be receiving an expansion at some point and should it come to console, there may still be a lot of work to do. Jay Wilson, Diablo 3 lead designer, said that the entire team is working on the next “big Diablo thing” and a lot of the stuff will appear next year.

| Never got the hype. Even when I saw the trailers, I was like "that looks crap". Hack and slash and some crying girl; amazing story. For me, shooting and dicing does not do it for me anymore. Since games like Mass Effect and Bioshock, story is the primary focus and a must. Story with choices and consequences is where it is really at. I believe games are now competing with film and art directly and must maintain their quality to keep up. With the ability to actually play in these world, this gives games the advantage and may overtake all other media very soon. | ||||||||
