Damsels in Destruction

What started off as a simple flamewar on South African gaming forums about whether girls are better gamers has developed into the PLuGG Girls vs. Guys Game Off event where PLuGG has brought over a team from the international all-female Pandora's Mighty Soldier's (PMS) Clan for a mighty Counter-Strike 1.6 (CS) showdown with the guys from Team Bravado. The event takes place on 29 November in the Turbine Hall, Newtown, Johannesburg. PMS Clan have teamed up with with SK-Gaming Ladies and EG-Ladies for the event. You can read more about the event here.

Bio: My name is Christine Chi, my alias is "potter" and I am 21-years-old. I've been playing CS since 2003, starting in 1.5 and played CS Source for a while. I am a pre-dent student and I also work in a dentist office in my city. I have three dogs and they are my babies =)! My family supports my gaming and I hope to keep on gaming for a long time! I am also very excited to be part of an amazing organisation like PMS Clan!

Bio: Hello! My name is Stephanie "missharvey" Harvey and I live in Montréal, Canada. I just finished my Bachelor degree in architecture and I am currently acquiring a Masters in Video Game Design. I am 21-years-old and I've been playing CS for six years. I am really excited to play again with my former teammate Christine.

Bio: My name is Izabel and I've been playing CS for about six years now. I've graduated from College studying administration about two years ago and when I'm not working or playing CS I like snowboarding, going to live concerts and just hanging out with my friends. I've been on female teams for the past five years and been to big events such as ESWC twice and CPL Spain. I also compete in local LANS regularly.

Bio: I've been playing CS for about six years and I'm 18 years old. I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I take a few classes at Delaware County Community College. Oh, and I'm Greek! While I have played CS for the last five years, and have often play played with Potter and the girls online, this will be the first year to be in an official team. I am really excited and honoured to be with such an amazingly talented group of players and hope to make them proud!

Bio: I've been playing CS since 1.3. I was stuck in pubbing until I did a scrim for the first time…and loved it! I'm a very competitive girl in everything I do and I am very excited to play with one of the females that taught me how to play this game, Stephanie Harvey. I have done many local LANS with male teams, but I haven't played a lot with girls until this summer with EG girls for the ESWC event. In my free time, I love to play soccer. I have been playing this sport since I was four and I am currently on an AA team!

Bio: Amber "Athena Twin" Dalton is the Leader and Co-Founder of the well-known female gaming group Pandora's Mighty Soldiers (PMS Clan) and has helped create a decidedly female mark in the traditional male-dominated gaming arena. Her skills in community development, ability with a Battle Rifle, and inspiring leadership have helped taken women teams where they were never before…playing against professional male gamers in respected professional tournaments.
