Capcom has announced that it is unlikely to port any recent Capcom games to the Wii U.
According to CVG, publishers like Activision and EA late-ported (or moved previously-released titles) high-profile titles to Nintendo’s newest console upon release. That includes Assassin’s Creed 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Assassin's Creed 3 has been late-ported to the Wii U - even using the Wii U's unique gameplay and hardware features to its advantage.
But, Capcom will not be doing the same. It is releasing a Wii U title in March, entitled Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U – Capcom’s only confirmed Wii U title. But, Capcom boss Christian Svensson has said, “With regard to Wii U, in general we are looking forward, not back, so late ports are generally not on the table.”
