Call of Duty Will Never Be a Movie

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has said the wildly popular Call of Duty series will never be adapted to a movie.

According to CVG, the Call of Duty franchise may seem to be a popular choice for a film adaptation of a video game.

But, Kotick told the New York Times that despite receiving several offers to turn Call of Duty into a silver screen series, he has turned down each offer, because “movie based on video games rarely please devoted fans and could taint the brand.”

Kotick hopes to keep the Call of Duty brand ‘healthy’ rather than damage its popularity with a poorly made film adaptation.
