Gearbox Software has detailed the next bit of downloadable content (DLC) for Borderlands 2 that will be coming out as early as this week.
The new downloadable content is priced at $9.99 (around R90) for those that don’t have a Borderlands 2 Season Pass and is scheduled to release on 20 November. The new DLC, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage is a combat-focused pack where players will need to compete in a tournament in the Badass Crater of Badassitude which surrounds a newly-discovered vault.
The pack is being compared to Mad Moxxi’s DLC from the first Borderlands and will provide new environments with a different variety of enemies but will also include a number of new bosses such as Pyro Pete, Motor Mama and Badassaurus Rex. There are also a number of subtle changes that have been made where Goliaths are now known as Enforcers and Marauders becomes Bikers.
Gearbox is constantly thinking about DLC and the next big DLC release is already on the cards for the developers. Apparently the team is looking at raising the level cap in Borderlands 2 as well but not in a way that gamers might be expecting.
