The 7th Guest and 11th Hour Now Available

The 7th Guest and its sequel, the 11th Hour, were two games from the 90's that were early adopters of the CD-ROM format (with talking, can you believe it!) and what was then 'enhanced graphics'. Recently, the retro-gaming digital distribution service DotEmu.com has put these two games on its catalogue.

The 7th Guest was awarded several "best CD game of the year" awards in its time. Gamers are put into a terrifying horror-adventure in the haunted mansion of Henry Stauf.

"Its sequel, The 11th Hour, extends the experience and gives you even more puzzles and challenges. A frightening scenario, an immersive environment, mind-bending puzzles, The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour are highly regarded as adventure horror classic games," says a press release.

The games were instrumental in solidifying the CD-ROM format as a viable way of distribution, especially at a time when the "stiffy" disk was more popular. These versions available now have been made compatible with Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 and also include new bonuses like the original soundtrack, walkthroughs and making-of videos.
