Modern Warfare 2 for Console Leagues

A new console section now forms part of the Telkom Do Gaming Online League 2010 calendar, with the console leagues kicking off in April.

The titles being supported on console are:

• Modern Warfare 2 (PS3 & Xbox 360)
  
• FIFA 10 (PS3 & Xbox 360)
  
• Forza 3 Motorsport (Xbox 360)
  
• Guitar Hero 5 (Xbox 360)

While Modern Warfare 2 is not supported as a PC competitive title, it will be played in the console version of the leagues and will be a team tournament. Forza 3 will be played by players in eight-player races, while FIFA 10 and Guitar Hero 5 will be single player titles.

Gamers are encouraged to play on at least a 512k ADSL line and while Xbox Live and the Playstation Network net-code is pretty good, gamers may still experience some lag. Gamers will also need a legitimate version of the game(s) they wish to play.

Registrations for the console leagues will open in February 2010. Official rules for each of the games will be released prior to registrations opening. League matches will begin on 5 April 2010.
