Well I would just like to bring your attention to a little place in the article where it mentions something about 36 CoD4 teams and 10 BF2 teams

Usually the most supported competition gets the most prizes... Rugby world champs get more prizes than lets say tiddly winks world champ.

P.S Thank you to the Logitech and I.C for their contributions Hopefully we will see even more companies getting in on this

While I'm biased because I personally play cod4. It seems a wiser coporate decision to put more money in a game that has more potential to market their product. Cod4 having 36 teams and a new game coming out shortly after rage seems like the sound buisiness choice.

yes i understand the difference in the teams but to be fair nearly every prize that the winner of Bf2 gets can fit into the price of just the g19!!

True, but considering BF2 has 8 players instead of 5 and having far fewer teams, I think they have scaled the prizes fairly well.

Anyway, Rage is going to be too nice

First of all, thanks to Logitech for the great prizes.

http://www.arena77.co.za/articledisp.php?type=main&page=0&art=424

How does this happen? I mean no offence to the Q3 community, but the competitive scene in SA CoD4 is WAAAAAAAAAAAY bigger than q3, yet they get R100k of sponsored prizeS?

What is going on with SA GAMING.

First of all, please don't swear on thef forum. Not in full words, acronyms, abbreviations, or using symbols. I edited it out of your post.

Secondly, all is not as it seems. Read here.

P|Evax, they couldn't host a CoD4 comp because AGASA already does - so they had to do something else.

So don't flame them, atleast they're doing the gaming community in SA good

Sorry Wonderer, and ye Road, I had a good chat to Len over the phone about why he hosted a Q3 tourney.

I was just angry that cod4 was getting screwed over again, cos Rage last year was FFA and it was pretty lame.

i have to agree its very strange that Q3 getting R100K prizes i think COd 4 should or they should split amongst the other games like dota and BF 2.

Q3 should get the least of the prize money they top 15 get prizes of the R100K that means the top 15 get nearly R6000 ran a person and the top 3 players will more than liglhty get over R10000 prizes.
Where the Cod 4 get way less than that i would prefer the top 3 teams of cod 4 get the some of the prize cause there are alot more teams .

I would say Q3 R100K woudl be awesome if there were top players from aropund the world coming to play then it a diffrent story.

that me my 2 c

Well seeing as Arena77 has nothing to do with Telkom Do Gaming, the argument is pointless. They can do what they want with their money. They won't sponsor the Telkom comps because one of Telkom Do gaming's partners is AMD, whereas they are aligned with Intel.

Which is quite funny considering AMD = ATI (Sapphire) Someone else pointed that out as well.
