[grrr] Danglers are currently in the lead in the Telkom Do Gaming Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (BC2) Online Championship 2010, but that's only because they are one of the few teams to have played more than one game.
The rest of the teams have until Monday 31 January to finish all four of their games for this stage of the competition.
But Grrr already have a very strong possibility of topping their group (Group D). Out of the four matches teams are to play in this stage, they have played three and won all three. Perhaps it would be fair to say that their most intense match was against DnA Avarice in a game that was almost declared a draw but awarded to Grrr on ticket difference.
For those that don't know how it works, since both teams won one half in the match, the team with the largest ticket difference is awarded the win of the match. In this case, Grrr won the first half 33 – 0 while DnA won the second half 6 – 0. Since Grrr had more tickets, overall, the win was awarded to them.
However, Grrr's next opponent is DAC Crusaders who were a strong contender against Grrr in the First Division of last year's Bad Company 2 League, so it's not really safe to bet on anything at this point.
Well, almost. IRF_BC2 have lost all their four games played, so that one is in the bag. But there's really no telling what will happen for the rest of the teams and groups as all the rest of the teams have only played one game. Do Gaming will report back on Tuesday next week once all the games have been played and the results are in.
