Brazen has joined the new look Bravado Gaming as its Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) team.
Brazen, who themselves attempted to be a Multiple Gaming Organisation (MGO) at the beginning of last year, have now sought to belong to a bigger group of gamers after the team was out on its own for the latter half of last year.
Stephen “Vitrolic” White, Brazen Captain, says after Brazen ended up just being a CoD4 team for some time, it’s now nice to be in an organisation with other players from different games.
“The move was something that was discussed at length with Andreas 'Cent' Hadjipaschali from Bravado. There is a lot of synergy between Brazen and Bravado in terms of the way we both approach gaming and being competitive, so it was a natural fit for us,” he says.
White takes over as the new editor of Bravado’s website and will be involved in clan structures as well.
The Year Ahead
Bravado CoD4’s team aims to win everything they can this year. As Brazen, they were by far the dominant team of 2009, and won the Telkom Do Gaming CoD4 Lan Championship at rAge last year.
However, White says things are looking different this year. “The MGOs are all stirring at the start of the year. Synergy and Section 8 have both increased their lineups and Mint and Pantheon (along with Bravado) will probably make up the top five in CoD4.”
White says the standard of competitive COD4 is definitely higher. Bravado has been playing some other CoD4 teams in friendlies and many of the games have been close, including a 13 - 10 win over the Section 8 team last night.
“Teams and players who were not competitive last year have upped their game and been working hard. We know the guys are after us, so we’re going to have to work hard to be competitive this year,” he says.
