Summer Leg 2013Sunday saw an impressive 24 Black Ops II Telkom DGL 2013 matches take place. However, two teams were forced to reschedule the third map of their matches to tonight, due to connection problems.
Veneration seems to have borne the brunt of the problems: Veneration Absolute and Artonic Divinity have agreed to finish their match tonight at 8pm, after two of Artonic’s players struggled with connection problems.
Meanwhile, the match between Veneration BoW and ROCCAT SA VION was plagued with issues. Vnr’s Jean ‘Bon3R’ Fick detailed the issues in the match thread. According to Fick, ROCCAT SA VION got its players in late, causing a 15-minute delay to the start of the match. After the first four rounds, all players dropped and Veneration had to restart with only four players following connection problems. Fick also says that four rounds into the second map, Veneration became aware that ROCCAT’s kill streaks were enabled and had to restart the match.
VnR BoW Captain Jean “B0n3R” Fick says it has really affected his team. “It definitely affected our 2nd map, we were all so mad about the unprofessionalism of that map we couldn’t focus as a team or individually. I’m struggling to get my team together for tonight’s game, as it was not meant to be played tonight; my players made plans for tonight”.
He adds, “So far it does affect us in a negative way...I don’t want any unnecessary issues so I’m trying my best to get a team.”
The Veneration and ROCCAT match is scheduled for tonight at 8pm.
UAC became a hot topic again after OGM Alpha forfeited their match against FFL.Sons of B!tches last night. OGM’s Riaan “fossil” de Lange explained the forfeit was due to UAC’s incompatibility with Windows 8. However, the match is being rescheduled and we’ll let you know when it has been confirmed.
NeveR were forced to forfeit their match against BoB Band of Susters, after NeveR’s players timed out in the second map.
