With the first weekend of the League of Legends (LoL) Telkom DGL 2014 Winter Leg Premier Playoffs done and dusted, the teams have four weeks left to play all their games and prove whether or not they deserve to be in the Premier Division for the 2015 season.
There are some very important rules that need to be followed when it comes to the Winter Leg Playoffs. The most important being the team line-ups. Although this is a period where changes to line-ups can be made, if you are competing in the Winter Leg Playoffs, there are some things that need to be taken into account:
Core players are now those that have played the highest number of games throughout each of the Summer and Winter Legs. Captains need to check their core players before swapping more than one player out.
A team must have at least three core players to keep their seeding.
Any new players that are fielded for the Winter Leg Playoffs must remain in your team until the first transfer period in the 2015 season.
The rosters are locked from 28 July, until the end of the Winter Leg Premier Playoffs to ensure that teams do not take advantage of the transfer period.
To take part in the Telkom Do Gaming Championships (DGC) at the end of the season, you must have three core players attending.
One game has made it onto the results log so far and that is where NFall NightFall managed to beat out ventus.LoL in a very close game on Sunday, 27 July, at 8pm. ventus.LoL managed to take one of the three games, making sure that they get a good percentage even when losing.
There is still quite a bit of time between now and the end of the Winter Leg Premier Playoffs for the teams to complete all their games and it will take some time before predictions can be made as to who will rise and who will fall.
The 2014 League of Legends Telkom DGL is sponsored by Razer.
