Energy Introduces New Blood Ahead of DGC



Telkom Do Gaming has learnt that local MGO Energy eSports will be adding another Dota 2 team to its roster to join current team Legs in their Premier Division competition.

Team eVo from Liberty Esports will be joining up with Energy after the Winter Leg and will be looking to bring even more talent to the Dota 2 roster. Currently eVo sit in second place in the Dota 2 Premier Division at the time of writing and will be looking at taking top spots in upcoming competitions.

Kas Ahmad, Energy eSports managing director, says that it seems an obvious move to include another top team into the Energy eSports family.

"With the amount of teams in the Dota 2 DGL, it seemed pretty evident to us that adding another top team alongside Energy eSports Legs is the way forward. We want to be able to assert dominance in the Dota 2 DGL and are confident that with Legs and eVo, this can be achieved," he says.

The Energy eSports eVo team will remain unchanged going forward:

We also spoke to Riaan 'DoMzZz' Visser the Energy eSports eVo captain who says that he is thrilled to be joining Energy eSports.

"We joined Energy because it is a fast-growing organisation that we felt could give us the best support for future growth. Our biggest goals and achievements are to help to grow the South African Dota 2 scene to such an extent that it could potentially become internationally recognised with the hopes of eventually being able to compete in the biggest Dota 2 tournaments," he says.

Energy eSports, one of South Africa’s premier multi-gaming organisations (MGO), after having reshuffled some of its top teams, will be bringing in some new blood ahead of Telkom’s Do Gaming Championship (DGC) 2014.

As of the end of the Telkom DGL Winter Leg, Energy eSports will be adding team ‘eVo’ to its line-up from Liberty Esports. eVo will join the already strong Dota 2 line-up that Energy eSports has to offer moving forward and trusts that both teams will be able to compete at the top levels of professional gaming in South Africa.

Currently, eVo sit second in the Premier Division for Dota 2 and have shown supreme strength and mettle throughout the season. The management team felt that the personalities and performances exemplified the character of Energy eSports and is thrilled to welcome eVo into the MGO.

The Energy eSports eVo team will remain unchanged heading into the DGC and will be listed as follows:
