The Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2013 season is almost at an end with only a month to go before the Telkom Do Gaming Championships (DGC). After the DGC there are a lot of players that become inactive and the hopes are that this will counteract that.
Telkom Do Gaming (DG) has decided that the best course of action would be to host “Cups”. These cups will be released over all the titles that DG supports and will see 32 teams or players going head-to-head in single elimination (Insta-Clash), group stages (Cups) and weekend cups (Weekend Clash). There are no prizes for these cups except boasting about your victory.
Robert “iNFy” Hart comments that: “Now that the leagues are over, we're going to be hosting short, single elimination cups. They are first-come first-serve, 32 player cups, for anyone to enter. This is just a way to keep people active. We will be rolling it out across all the titles.”
Players will need to register for the cup in the games they would like to play; you need not have played in the 2013 season of the game to be able to enter as it is open to all. It is on a first come first serve basis so make sure that you are one of the few that are able to make the cut.
You can check if there is a cup in a game by going to their respective game pages and checking the right-hand side for the cup’s title. If there is not one there at the moment, do not fear as there will be one soon. Be sure to keep checking though as there are only 32 spots in each cup. These cups will begin after the DGC to keep players active during the rough months before the start of the 2014 season.
