Damage Control and Sector 17 Leading First Division

Both Damage Control and Sector 17 Zephyr lead their respective groups in the First Division in the 2014 Telkom Do Gaming League Dota 2 First Division Summer Leg.

Damage Control in Group A have so far earned an undefeated run by taking four wins from four games netting them a maximum of 16 points. Team Immersion (iM) MegaMega also enjoy an undefeated run at this point in time but due to having a “bye” in Week One, are a few points behind for the time being. Week Five will see DC have a “bye” week while iM will be going up against SSG !Tetris who sit fourth on the log with two wins and two losses.

It’s no doubt that both iM and SSG will be fighting hard for this game as it will be a defining point moving towards the top three in Group A of the First Division. According to the match thread, the game is scheduled for Wednesday, 5 March at 8pm.

PingHere, TP There (Ping) will also be going up against Doge A-Team this week which will also be a closely contested game as it will most definitely impact the top order of Group A.

Group B on the other hand sees Sector 17 Zephyr (S17) leading the charge, also undefeated with four wins from four games. They have already taken on second place in the group, More_On_this_LateR (MoTL) and secure the four points with a 2 – 0 victory. Both DUC and Blowupdoll (BUD) can still make quite an impact on the top order as DUC has a game against Emo Tree Friends (ETF) this week while BUD will be receiving a “bye”.

Either way you look at it, it seems the First Division is bringing in some quality teams as many games have been close between the top tier teams of the division. With just four more weeks remaining, the last few games will be very important for the top teams in either group as we move away from the halfway point in the Summer Leg.
